Allegiant Air has announced another eastern route from Provo for the opening of the new Provo urban terminal in spring 2022.
On Tuesday, Allegiant announced a new non-stop route from Provo Airport (PVU) to Austin, Texas via Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) starting November 18.
On May 25, Allegiant added flights from Provo to St. Petersburg, Florida and Phoenix Sky Harbor airports. The flights start in the first week of October.
“Texas has long been a popular destination for travelers from Utah County – one of our top five requests,” said Mayor Michelle Kaufusi. “Provo’s economic dynamism has drawn the attention of airlines who see the strength of the Provo market as well as travelers who enjoy the convenience of ever-increasing flight options near their home.”
With today’s Austin route, Allegiant now flies non-stop from Provo to Austin / Bergstrom; Phoenix / mesa; Tucson; Orange County / John Wayne; Los Angeles (LAX); Denver; Phoenix Sky Harbor International; and Tampa / St. Petersburg, Florida; Airports.

The new route will operate twice a week. Flight days, times and the lowest fares can only be found on Allegiant.com.
Allegiant offers travelers in the Provo area a unique option with low base rates and savings on rental cars and hotels. According to a press release from the airline, travelers can book their entire vacation at Allegiant for less.
To celebrate, the company is offering one-way fares starting at $ 39 on the new route. Tickets must be purchased by the end of the day Wednesday.
Seats and appointments are limited, and fares are not available on all flights. The flights must be booked by Wednesday and are scheduled for travel until February 13, 2022. The price shown includes taxes, airline fees, and government fees.
