Central’s Taylor Gebhart signs with Lake Region St. for softball

Cheyenne Central’s Taylor Gebhart will continue her softball career in Lake Region State, North Dakota.

Gebhart was an all-state selection last season when Central took second place in the state tournament and Gebhart placed in both the semifinals and the state championship game. That season in the circle she threw 22 and 2-thirds innings with 26 strikeouts. It was used as a utility player when not pitching.

Gebhart achieved a whopping 429 on the plate with 5 homers and 17 batted-in runs. She also has extensive club level experience, playing with the Cheyenne Extreme program for 7 years and the WYCO program last summer.

Gebhart also attended the 4A Girls State Swimming Meeting in Gillette, finishing 4th in the 500 freestyle and 6th in the 200 freestyle. She also swam in the 400-free season, which took second place at the state meeting.

Lake Region State is a junior college in Devil’s Lake, North Dakota.
