Doris Ellen Coy Watts, 93, died Tuesday, November 9, 2021. She was born on November 1, 1928 to Alex Dale Sr. and Beda Pauline Martin Coy. Born and raised in Ogden, Utah, Doris attended Dee Elementary School on 20th Street, Mt. Ogden Junior High on 12th and Washington, and graduated from Ogden High School Class in 1946.
She was married to Theron Davis Watts on August 4, 1950 in LDS Logan Temple. They met and courted each other after he returned from World War II. They raised a family of six boys together. Doris was a cave mother, served as a primary school teacher and sang in the 4th parish choir of Ogden as a teenager.
Doris loved to crochet and sew, was a devoted housewife and a very loving mother. We will miss her very much, but we are glad that she and her father are reunited.
Doris leaves behind sons Blaine T. Watts of Harrisville, David R. (Tracy) Watts of Nampa, ID, Kevin D. (Christal) Watts of South Ogden, and Steven C. Watts of Missouri; 21 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; and brother Alex Dale (Sharon) Coy, Jr. of Ogden, Utah. Her husband, Theron Davis Watts, preceded in death; Sons, Terry Lee Watts and Michael Theron Watts; Parents; and sister Beda Jane Coy.
Graveside services will take place on Monday, November 15, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. Friends and family can meet up with their family on Sundays from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Mondays from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Order videos
