UINTAH COUNTY – A 25-year-old Ogden woman died early Sunday after the RV she was driving in rolled down a steep embankment.

According to a press release shared by the Uintah County Sheriff’s Office on Facebook, rescue workers were dispatched to Red Cloud Loop Road at around 1:30 a.m. and found the side-by-side ATV about 12 meters on the side of the road.

Medical staff attempted life-saving measures against the woman, identified as Kelton Chournos, but she still died on the scene, the statement said. The driver and another passenger suffered minor cuts and bruises from the impact.

According to the press release, investigators believe the group was heading east when the ATV went off the roadside, rolled over and rolled over several times. It is believed that impairments to the driver contributed to the events.

The incident is still being investigated.
