SARATOGA SPRINGS — The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announced Monday that the Saratoga Springs Utah Temple will be dedicated on Aug. 13, 2023, and President Henry B. Eyring of the First Presidency will preside.

A media day will be held on April 10 with a private open house for invited guests on April 11-14. A public open house where anyone can come to visit and walk through the temple will begin April 15 and end July 8.

There will be three dedicated sessions for the temple, which will be broadcast to all units in the Saratoga Springs Utah Temple district. Additional details regarding the temple dedication will be announced at a future date.

The Saratoga Springs temple was announced by former church President Thomas S. Monson in April 2017 and construction of the temple began in October 2019.

This temple will join the 27 other Latter-day Saint temples in the state of Utah that are announced, under construction or renovation, or are operating. They include: Bountiful, Brigham City, Cedar City, Deseret Peak, Draper, Ephraim, Heber Valley, Jordan River, Layton, Lindon, Logan, Manti, Monticello, Mount Timpanogos, Ogden, Oquirrh Mountain, Orem, Payson, Provo City Center, Provo, Red Cliffs, Salt Lake, Smithfield, St George, Syracuse, Taylorsville and Vernal.

According to a news release from the church, approximately two-thirds of Utah’s population, 2.2 million people, are members of the church in Utah, where the church’s world headquarters reside.
