Ricky Don Blickfeldt Obituary (1959-2021) – Ogden, UT

Ricky Don Blickfeldt passed away peacefully on October 1st, 2021 at his Natural Causes home. He was born on November 22, 1959 in Ogden, Utah, to Donna Barnes and Douglas Anderson Blickfeldt.
He graduated from Roy High School in 1977. Rick married his mistress Kari Butler on September 21, 1979. They just celebrated their 43rd birthday. He was a very proud father to two girls, Jennifer and Mallori, whom he loved and loved with all his heart. He did everything for her. He was her backbone.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Rick loved his family above all and made sure that they were looked after and cared for beyond his own needs. He was a great grandpa and loved his five grandchildren.
Rick worked for Albertsons as a butcher for many years. After his time at Albertsons, he worked at Hill Air Force Base until his death. During his time at HAFB, he has received many awards, including the Sullivan Award. He was currently an equipment specialist. He also worked as a master mechanic at XTM Motorsports.
Known to many as Macgyver, he could fix anything and was always ready to help those who needed help. He has been an amazing mentor to many including his nephews who became like his sons. With his nephews, brothers, and sons-in-law, he enjoyed many outdoor activities such as hunting, camping, off-road vehicles, and motorcycles.
He leaves behind his wife Kari, daughters: Jennifer Perez and Mallori Blickfeldt (Jared Layton); his grandchildren: Bayleigh, Capreese, Aidyn, Nevaeh and Jericho. Also survived by his mother Donna Blickfeldt, siblings Doug (Suzi) Blickfeldt, Tim (Kris) Blickfeldt, Cindy (Dee) Simmons, his father-in-law Keith Butler and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in the deaths of his father, Doug and his grandparents, and his mother-in-law Jeri Butler.
The funeral will take place on Friday, October 8, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd, Ogden, Utah, with tours on Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and the Friday before the service of
11:00 am – 11:40 am
