See the sights in this American Truck Simulator Wyoming trailer

As the RPS safety officer and unofficial nonsense guard, I have to warn you not to operate heavy machinery while you are watching this video of someone operating heavy machinery. That would be silly. This first look at American Truck Simulator’s Wyoming update is a 24-minute excursion through the chunky landscape of the American West. It’s a setting that can be both distractingly dramatic and feels like a brain massage.

The Freightliner races from the box-shaped town of Riverton to the more beautiful-looking Jackson. The freeway goes through some dramatic red canyons – very marshland – before settling into a classic landscape of the American West. You feel like cowboys might show up at any moment to herd the bison that pepper the roadside.

The streets are pretty quiet. Wyoming is the tenth largest state in the United States, but also one of the most sparsely populated. There are long stretches where it’s all about the driver and the scenery. It starts after 17 minutes when the truck crosses a river. I wanted him to stop and paddle as the snow capped mountains in the background looked like the spring. There is nothing like a cold stream on a sunny day.

It’s just a small hat to the addon’s impressive water features. Wyoming’s reservoirs and dams are carefully sculpted so that motorists can take a detour when visiting the stunning Flaming Gorge Dam. This can be seen in the header image.

We’re still waiting for an exact delivery slot for the Wyoming DLC. Just listen to the horn honk.
