LIST: Schools in Utah have closed due to COVID-19 outbreaks

According to school officials, Uintah High School, UHS, reports 19 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the past 14 days and will implement the state test to stay protocol.

“UHS students will participate in distance learning on Wednesday January 27th and Thursday January 28th while the school undergoes a thorough cleaning. To be marked as present, students must be logged in during class time. Friday, January 29th, will follow the normal online study schedule set for this school year, ”the school said in a press release.

All students taking concurrent courses at Utah State University’s Uintah Basin (UBTech) are encouraged to contact their instructor to see if they should attend courses in person.

Upon returning to face-to-face class on Monday February 1st, students must have a negative COVID-19 test.

“Voluntary rapid UV tests for COVID-19 will be provided free of charge to all UHS students and district staff,” the school said.

  • Noon to 4 p.m. for people whose last name begins with the letters M to Z.

Thursday January 28th

The teachers are calling for a test-out day and urging regular tests for personal teachers

Students who test negative must provide evidence of their negative test result at the time of the test and should bring it to school.

Students who test positive or fail to test will attend classes remotely for at least 10 days, school officials add.

“Students who have been tested using the school’s test-to-play protocol do not need to retest. “Students participating in extracurricular activities (sports, theater, etc.) should contact their trainer or advisor for information on test protocols, exercise and rehearsal schedules, and upcoming games or performances,” the school said.

Examination of minors requires the consent of a parent or legal guardian. School officials say a consent form will be sent home with all UHS students on Tuesday.

Those who tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 90 days are exempt from testing.
