Utah Jazz guard Jordan Clarkson goes unrecognized by Salt Lake City reporter

On Friday, the Utah Jazz and Vivint Arena announced that all home games would require proof of vaccination against COVID-19 or a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of an event in order to gain access to the arena.

Of course, local reporters were out on the streets to see what the community thought of the recent announcement.

A member of the jazz organization who happened to have a career year was in the area and ready to speak out.

What KUTV reporter Hayley Crombleholme didn’t realize during an interview was that she was speaking to Jordan Clarkson in the Salt Lake City area.

Welp, pretty sure @rlikness and I just interviewed @JordanClarksons from the street without realizing it was Jordan Clarkson 🤦‍♀️ I have a few follow-up questions …

At some point the KUTV reporter asked: “Did you go to any jazz games? [last year]? “

Clarkson responded with an incredibly honest answer.

“Yeah, a lot,” he said.

Made him spell his name and everything 🤦‍♀️. I’m just slightly (okay, very) embarrassed pic.twitter.com/mWFO6eXOjp

Joe Ingles also enjoyed Clarkson’s simple but effective interview.

They were both good sports about the situation and later confirmed it on Twitter. Although Crombleholme said she would interview Clarkson again, she also admitted that the sports department is unlikely to ask her for help.
