Utah reports 371 new cases of COVID-19 and four more deaths on Tuesday

SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah Department of Health reported 371 new cases of COVID-19 and four new deaths on Tuesday, but one before March 1.

The seven-day average of new cases per day is 424, and the “people over people” positivity percentage is 6.7.

There are currently 134 people hospitalized with COVID-19 in Utah.

24,329 more vaccinations were given yesterday, and 1,331,862 have now received shots.

The newly reported deaths bring the state’s death toll to 2,118 and include:

  • A man aged 65 to 84, resident in Utah County, was hospitalized
  • A woman between the ages of 24 and 44 who lives in Salt Lake County has been hospitalized
  • A woman aged 45 to 64 who lives in Iron County and lives in a long-term care facility
  • A man over 85, resident in Uintah County, not in the hospital
