Utah State Women’s Tennis Announcements 2023 Spring Schedule

LOGAN, Utah- Utah State women’s tennis has released its 2023 spring schedule, as announced by head coach Sean McInerney on Thursday.

Utah State returns four letterwinners from last year’s squad in graduate senior Annaliese County, seniors Sidnee Lavatai and Zeynep Naz Ozturk, and junior Lisa Küng. USU also welcomes three transfers in graduate transfer Monique Burton from Southern Miss, junior Laura Fernanda Eugenio De Hilario from Saint Katherine and sophomore Indya Nespor from Cal State Fullerton. Jade Brilhante, a freshman from Hilo, Hawaii, rounds out the 2023 roster.

The Aggies will begin the 2023 campaign with a neutral match against Western Michigan on Saturday, Jan. 28, before taking on Nebraska on Sunday, Jan. 29. Both matches are set to take place in Lincoln, Nebraska. USU will remain on the road to take on Idaho State in Pocatello, Idaho, on Saturday, Feb. 4. Utah State’s home opener will come on Sunday, Feb. 5, against Utah Tech at the Sports Academy & Racquet Club.

USU’s season continues against in-state rival BYU in Provo, Utah, on Saturday, Feb. 11, before returning home to host Idaho on Saturday, Feb. 25. The Aggies will head to San Diego, California for a pair of matches to begin March, taking on UC San Diego on Wednesday, March 8, before playing a neutral match against UC Irvine on Saturday, March 11.

Utah State’s nonconference season concludes at home versus a pair of opponents from the Big Sky Conference as the Aggies host Montana State on Friday, March 17, and Montana on Monday, March 20.

The Aggies will kick off Mountain West play in Reno, Nevada, with a neutral match against San Jose State on Saturday, March 25, taking on Nevada the next day on Sunday, March 26. USU then heads north for a pair of neutral matches in Boise, Idaho. The Aggies will take on 2022 MW champion San Diego State on Saturday, April 1, before playing UNLV on Sunday, April 2. USU’s road trip continues to Colorado Springs, Colorado, where the Aggies will face off against New Mexico on Friday, April 7 , and Air Force on Saturday, April 8.

Utah State will make a second trip to Boise, Idaho, for another pair of neutral matches, this time taking on Colorado State on Saturday, April 15, and Wyoming on Sunday, April 16. USU will then return to the SARC to conclude its regular season. The Aggies will host Boise State on Thursday, April 20, before celebrating Senior Day on Saturday, April 22, against Fresno State.

The 2023 Mountain West Championships are scheduled to be hosted by Nevada on Wednesday through Saturday, April 26-29, in Reno, Nevada.
