Family fun with Fox 13

There are so many fun family friendly activities going on this weekend. Thanks to our friends at Parents Empowered, we have some of the highlights for you!

The Farmers Market in Ogden presents the 4th annual pop-up artist studio “Beets and Beats” on June 5th from 10am to 12pm. Artists will paint “what the market means to them” and will need to incorporate the Ogden Beet logo. This is by the municipal gardens in Ogden. Click here for more info.

Venture out! The Friday Night Festivals will take place again in June from 6pm, followed by a film (“The Greatest Showman”) at dusk in Canyon Rim Park in Salt Lake City. This week’s theme is “The Night Circus,” where you meander through stilt walkers and aerialists. There will be games and prizes as well as food trucks. Click here for the details.

Get Jumpin ‘! Your kids will love to see a competitive skipping rope team competing on a regional and national level. Just Jumpin ‘members love to jump and inspire others to love it too! You can see them at 2pm on Thursday, June 3rd at the Murray Park Pavilion. Please click here for more information.

And return to Murray Park for a sing-along movie on June 4th. You can raise your voice to the songs of ‘Les Miserables’. The movie plays on an outside screen and subtitles are provided for those who need a little help remembering the words. Participation is free. For further information, click here.

On June 5th, your children are invited to a fairy garden workshop. They can create their own gardens with stones, brightly colored sand branches, pompoms, figurines and other magical objects. Everything is in a portable pot so kids can take their creation home to enjoy all summer long. This happens from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Bountiful Davis Art Center.
