Jorge Coria obituary (1954-2021) – Ogden, UT
Our loving prankster father, grandpa and brother, who enlightened our lives, died on September 12th, 2021 surrounded by his children, brothers and sisters who loved him very much. Our father Papa was born on August 13, 1954 in Michoacán, Mexico to Ricardo and Herminia Coria.
Papa met Gail M. Coria, his Panfila, the love of his life, at a dance and claimed her as his queen. They soon married on October 4, 1975 and had a family.
Words cannot describe this man. Because everyone who has ever known our father, from lifelong friends to strangers in the store, knew that he was so easy. His loving energy was second to none. It didn’t matter if you were a baby or a little viejita. He loved with the same intensity. Perfect strangers sensed the love he always had to offer.
Dad was a family guy and loved hanging out with his children, grandchildren and family. His family was his priority. Take care of all of our needs. Papa was a selfless man, always ready to help anyone in need and not expecting anything in return. He loved quality time and gave it to everyone. Time, that’s how he spelled love. If you knew him you loved him and if you didn’t know him you missed him.
Dad enjoyed hanging out with his family, playing games together, doing push-ups challenges, playing card games, throwing dance evenings, eating good food and not forgetting his postre. He loved to feel the music and let go of his body, be it while having coffee in the car or at home in the living room / dance floor.
He loved hiking, running, exercising and playing soccer with his brothers.
Our father is cherished forever. His love, kind heart, and funny Spanglish words brought joy to all of us. Our hearts will forever have a very special place for our papa, papa.
Papa survives his children, Crystal Coria, Catrina and Hanuar Fernandez, Junior and Jackie Coria, his grandchildren, Cesar Lowrance, Rayna Williams, Juliessa Fernandez, Edgar Jimenez, Julian, Jazlyn, Jaybree Coria, Ulises Fernandez, his great-grandson Adriel Jimenez, his siblings Humberto / Lorraine Coria, Jose / Ana Coria, Hector / Laura Coria, Maria Saucedo, Analilia Coria and Chato / Lonetta Coria.
Papa is preceded in death by his wife Gail M. Coria, his daughter Dede, his parents Ricardo and Herminia Coria, his siblings Romelia and Ricardo Coria.
