1943 — 2022

Judy Lynn Owens, 79, passed away on October 15, 2022 in Brigham City, Utah. She was born April 8, 1943 in Ogden, Utah to Roy Harold and Freda Elizabeth Campbell, one of 13 children.

Judy grew up in the Kanesville area and attended Weber High School. She married Merlyn Owens on May 30, 1959 in Ogden, they were married for 44 years before he passed away in 2005. They are the parents of 9 children. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Judy loved her family and spending time with them camping, going to Wendover, Christmas, trips to California with the Renegades, and going to yard sales. Her grandchildren were her world. She had the biggest heart and was always helping others when they were down or in need making a meal or baking. Judy was always changing things in her home and wasn’t afraid to tear down a wall or a door and remodel her home. She loved helping with the monthly dinners for the Union Pacific Railroad at Union Station.

Judy is survived by her children, Sharon (Scott) Atkinson, DeAnna (Randall) Olney, Lori (Kevin) Allen, Robert (Sheri) Owens, Robin (Derrick) Russell, Becky Owens, Angela (Joedy) Rodriguez, Randy (Melissa) Owens; 43 grandchildren; 52 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; and 10 siblings.

Judy was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; her son, Rusty; brothers Wayne and Reed Campbell; 5 grandchildren, Samantha Jo, Katie, Jordan, Tyler, and Daxton.

Special thank you to all the medical personnel (especially the nurses) at the Brigham City Hospital for their loving and compassionate care given to our mother.

Funeral Services for Judy will be held Thursday, October 20, 2022 at 11:00 am at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden, Utah. A viewing will be held from 6:00-8:00 pm Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at Myers Mortuary in Ogden and also Thursday morning from 9:30-10:30 am prior to services.

Interment will be at the Hooper City Cemetery.
