1947 – 2022

Kae Hunter Burden, 75, beloved mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on April 12, 2022. Kae was born June 19, 1947, in Farr West, Utah, to Lloyd Elmer and Grace Andrews Hunter. She spent her career working at Ogden City Corp., where she met her husband J. Norman Burden. They were married on February 8, 1985, in the Ogden, Utah temple.

A strong woman who weathered life’s trials with determination, humor, and hope, Kae was a blessing to all who knew her. She led a life of love, faith, and service to others, holding many callings in her ward, serving at the Ogden temple, and teaching the gospel to local youth. Kae had a love of learning and a hunger for life that led her to travel the world and experience as much as she could. Above all, Kae loved her family fiercely. She spent her days doing everything she could to ease their burdens and bring joy to their lives. Many of her most treasured memories occurred during holidays or Sunday dinners with her children and grandchildren.

Kae is preceded in death by her husband, J. Norman Burden, and her two sons, Todd and Richard Thompson. She is survived by her children, Ann, Brian, Michael, Meg, Adam, Amy, Elizabeth, Ellen, and Nathan, her daughters- and sons-in-law, 27 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and the many people whose lives she touched A viewing will be held at Myers Mortuary (845 E Washington Blvd., Ogden) Saturday, April 16 from 5-7 pm, with funeral services on Monday, April 18 at Myers Mortuary at 2 pm
