Maria Parry Obituary (1942 – 2021) – Salt Lake City, UT

Maria Elena Parry

1942-2021

Our beloved mother, grandmother and friend was called home on September 26th, 2021.

She was born on August 1, 1942. The only child of Juan and Belen Vallejo.

She grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah and graduated from West High School.

Maria spent her career in the automotive industry. She spent many years as a service cashier, where she enjoyed meeting new people and making friends every day.

On April 4, 1973, she married her eternal friend and husband, Michael K. Parry. They had their greatest joy together, their daughter Tracy.

She has never been a nicer and more loving woman like Maria, she really cared about everyone. She was there for everyone all her life.

Cooking and eating were a passion of Maria. Many hours were spent making sure everyone was full. Your grandchildren will remember their steaks forever. Her favorite hobby was shopping. She loved the hunt for the best sale. Always buy for everyone else. She had a never ending giving nature.

She also enjoyed traveling. See and experience new places. She had a particular fondness for cruises. Maria also had a talent for fashion and shoes. It always looked as beautiful on the outside as it did on the inside.

Maria’s greatest love in life was her five grandchildren. Her love for her daughter and her grandchildren knew no bounds. She was extraordinarily proud of her grandchildren, told endless stories about them and shared a special relationship with each of them. Grandma always let everyone know that Tracy and the kids were her life. To be more of a second mother for the children. She was always there to love and support Tracy and the children throughout their lives. Nothing was more important to her. Her favorite saying she told Tracy and the kids was “I love you more today, more today than yesterday, but less than I will tomorrow.”

She leaves behind her daughter Tracy (Daniel) Gutierrez, the grandchildren Steven (DJ), Mirissa, Miriaha and Darian Gutierrez. Stepdaughter Michelle Farsnworth.

Before the parents Juan and Belen Vallejo, their aunts and uncles, their favorite uncles Albert and Carlos Ybarra, the beloved granddaughter Miranda Lynn Gutierrez and their beloved companion Sophie (her dog) in death.
