Police looking for suspect in killing of man found dead in Salt Lake City on Saturday

SALT LAKE CITY – Police are seeking help from the public in locating a suspect in the killing of a man whose body was found in Salt Lake City on Saturday morning.

The suspect is Nathaniel Joseph Kenyon, 42, police said. Salt Lake City police tweeted Saturday night that Kenyon “should be considered armed and dangerous, do not approach”. Kenyon is described as a 5-foot-10 white male with brown hair and brown eyes who weighs 185 pounds.

A passerby discovered the deceased’s body around 7:45 a.m. on Saturday morning near 338 W. Hansen Avenue and called the police, according to Salt Lake police chief Bill Manzanares. The man apparently died of a gunshot wound, but investigators found no cartridge cases at the scene.

Police have not received any reports of gunfire in the area, he added.
