Reva Buttars Blau, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away on December 18, 2021.

Reva was born on August 31, 1927 in Clarkston, Utah, to Jesse Tanner Buttars and Ellen Dahle. She was the youngest of five children. Reva had wonderful memories of her childhood. She loved baking with her mother, playing with her friends, and attending school activities. She graduated from North Cache High School in 1945. After graduation, Reva moved to Logan, Utah, and worked at Baugh Jewelry. There she met her husband Maurice Blau. Maurice and Reva were married on August 7, 1953 at the LDS Temple in Idaho Falls. They lived in Idaho Falls for four years and then made Roy, Utah their permanent residence in 1957.

Reva worked at ZCMI for 25 years helping brides sign up for their weddings. She loved her job. She was also a great seamstress, housewife and cook. Reva loved to dance. She and Maurice enjoyed many hours of ballroom dancing together. They were members of the Varienes Dance Club and temporarily served as the organization’s president. Maurice and Reva also loved ordination workers at the Ogden Utah LDS temple. They served together for fourteen years. Of all the things Reva loved, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were high on the list. She attended many of her ball games, song recitals, concerts and plays over the years.

Reva is survived by her children; Vonzaa Hewitt, Maurie (Judy) Blau and Cami (Robb) Alexander. She also leaves her nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. Her husband, Maurice, her parents, and four siblings preceded in death; Hazel, Jay, Vince and BerDean.

The memorial service will take place on Monday, December 27, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chateau Park LDS Ward Chapel. Friends can join the family on Sunday, December 26, 2021, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 5865 South 1900 West Roy, Utah, and Monday, December 27, 2021, 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Chateau Park LDS- District 5930 South 2200 West Roy, Utah. Internment, Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Boulevard, Ogden, Utah.
