Because of this, a new study shows that Salt Lake City is the best city in the country to build a career.
WalletHub’s study measured two categories: job opportunities and quality of life when considering where to start a job path, and Salt Lake City was rated the best out of 180 U.S. cities. 28 metrics were considered under the categories, including entry-level job availability, employment growth rate, annual income and job satisfaction.

Salt Lake City came second in both categories, just behind Orlando for career opportunities and Austin for quality of life.
West Valley City finished first in the rankings with a 38th overall finish.
