SWAT team responds to residence in Salt Lake City

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, May 20, 2021 (Gephardt Daily) – SWAT teams have responded to a house in Salt Lake City suspected of barricading an armed refugee.

According to several reports, the man barricaded in a residence is believed to be an adult probation and probation refugee and shots have been fired at authorities.

The residence is located on Wright Circle, near 500 south of Redwood Road. The officers were reportedly called to the scene around 8:30 p.m. on Thursday.

According to various law enforcement agencies, the U.S. marshals are the lead agency, and the Unified Police Department and Salt Lake City Police are among the assisting agencies.
