Sweetwater County on a winter storm warning through Friday

SWEETWATER COUNTY – The United States’ National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a winter storm warning for Sweetwater County that runs from 5:00 p.m. Thursday, December 23 through 6:00 p.m. Friday, December 24

Rock Springs, Green River, Flaming Gorge, and East Sweetwater Counties will all experience the greatest impact from the winter storm that sweeps through Wyoming, according to NWS. Residents can expect 2 to 4 inches of snow accompanied by gusty winds of up to 55 miles per hour.

“Traveling will be very difficult,” declared the NWS. “Snow drifts could significantly restrict the view.”
