Teresa Vasquez Galvan, who had many hats, Ama, Vieja, Abuela, friend and family member, left her loving family on Wednesday September 15, 2021.

Teresa was born on June 19, 1962 in Huaniqueo de Morales Michoacan, Mexico, to Aurelio Galvan and Celia Arguello. Teresa was the sister of 10 siblings, Javier Galvan, Ruben Galvan (deceased), Jose Galvan, Emilio Galvan, Francisco Galvan, Gloria Galvan, Maria Lucía Galvan, Elva Galvan, Helio Galvan and Marta Galvan.

Teresa was survived by her loving husband, Jose J. Vasquez. Teresa was the mother of Noemi Rodriguez (deceased), Huber Rodriguez, Carmen Vasquez, Patricia Vasquez and Sally Vasquez. Teresa also raised her grandchildren, Victor Hernandez, Adrian Hernandez, Sofia Rodriguez, Silas Browning, Joey Browning, and Legacy Rodriguez. She raised all of her children and grandchildren in the city of Layton, Utah with her husband, Jose J. Vasquez.

Teresa had many jobs in her life, but the most important job was to support her family and be a housewife. Her hobbies are gardening, sewing and decorating. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and watching their children grow.

Everyone who knew Teresa knew about the light she brought into the room and always failed to bring a smile to someone’s face. Everything she did, she did out of tremendous love and gave her everything. She was a strong woman who devoted her life to the welfare of her family and who never neglected to sweeten someone’s day. She had an enormous heart and a lot of love to give to anyone who crossed her path.

Teresa is greatly missed and loved forever. She will always be in our hearts and we will always remember the precious soul Heaven won. We love you Ama and we will miss you very much.

The funeral will take place on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends can visit the morgue with family on Mondays from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Tuesdays from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Burial, Ogden City Cemetery.
