The chief of police of the city of Naples dies unexpectedly in the house of the Uintah county

Officials from the Uintah County Sheriff’s Office said Naples city police chief Andrew Cox, 47, “died unexpectedly” Saturday after suffering a fatal medical incident.

They said a family friend found Cox unresponsive and emergency personnel had been called to his home.

Upon arrival, the police found that Cox had already passed away.

“Chief Cox has served in many roles over the past two decades and has always shown great attitudes and passion,” said Uintah County officials. “His untimely death will leave a tremendous void for the church and all those who served with him along the way.”

They added that they express their condolences to Cox’s family, wife, children and friends.
