Another dry weekend wraps up in Utah

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) – Saturday was such a great day for Utah and the Great Basin that Mother Nature decided to give us an even better day for Sunday.

Since the record breaking high pressure system is over the Pacific Northwest, we have some of the residual effects here in the Great Basin.

We continue to see dry conditions with even less cloud cover than on Saturday.

Temperatures don’t warm up too much as we expect them to still stay close to average for this time of year. The only weird thing we’ll find is that the warmer air is blowing from the north instead of the south, which will be a very different experience for us.

The winds stay breezy to sometimes even windy, with most of the state seeing at least double-digit wind speeds.

Our Sunday highs will be sunny skies in northern Utah, eastern Nevada, western Wyoming, and southeast Idaho in the 80s and 90s.

In central and eastern Utah, we expect sunny to mostly sunny skies and temperatures in the mid-80s and low-90s.

Southern Utah expects to be the warmest of the group but still close to average with temperatures in the 90s and 100s with sunny to mostly sunny skies.

On Sunday night we expect the cloud cover to return, especially in southern Utah. Temperatures are enough for everyone around the 60s and 70s.

In short, Sunday is going to be another, much more normal June day than we’ve seen in the past few weeks. Sunshine and temperatures on average with very little chance of rain.
