Denise Wiley Haag passed away, peacefully at her home on April 30, 2022. Denise was born on November 12, 1950, the second child, of Joseph LaVon and LaRue Mower Wiley. She spent her childhood living near 800 North in Orem where she had many fond memories with siblings and friends playing in their fun backyard. Denise graduated from Orem High School in 1969.

On the last day of 1969 Denise met Robert “Bobby” Gene Haag on a blind date. They had a long courtship of 3 dates before getting engaged and were married on April 3, 1970. They were sealed for time and all eternity to each other and their children on August 5, 1978 in the Provo temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Denise had a long career as a beautician which started while she was in High School working at Leona’s Beauty Shop. She went on to attend Darrell’s Beauty School and then operated her own beauty shop in her home for over 50 years. Her beauty shop was so special to her and gave her the opportunity to build many lifelong friendships. She loved her “ladies” who came to get their hair done and visit each week for so many years.

Denise was a very devoted mother who was active in the PTA, many church callings and was always busy and involved in her kids many activities. She loved everyone with her whole heart and treated them with love and respect, no matter their situation. She loved her Savior and taught us all that our personal relationship with Him is the most important thing that we can have in our lives.

Denise and Bob were blessed with 5 children, and 10 grandchildren. Denise’s happiest times were spent hosting family parties, spoiling her grandchildren, and teaching all of us to live carefree lives. She was feisty and fiercely protective of those she loved. Denise was preceded in death by her sweetheart Bobby and her parents LaVon and LaRue Wiley. She is survived by her five children: Tiffany (Damon) Swenson of Springville, Cheridy (Adam) Roeger of Orem, Ryan (Missy) Haag of Orem, Wyatt (Nicola) Haag of Clearfield, and Tori (Jon) Peay of Lehi, as well as 10 grandchildren.
