FREE rapid COVID-19 tests are available these Utah locations this week

SALT LAKE CITY – The state of Utah continues to offer free rapid COVID-19 antigen tests to its residents. The Utah Department of Health (UDOH) is set to help curb the spread of the virus in the community.

Anyone over the age of five can have a test even if they don’t have symptoms. UDOH is asking residents to sign up for their test before arriving at the site.

“If you can’t register online or register online, you can register on the website, but it will take longer to get tested,” said UDOH.

Once the test is complete, UDOH will email the results from [email protected] between 30 minutes and several hours. If you have trouble opening the email or if the email does not arrive within a few hours, call (385) 273-7878 for assistance.

How to prevent the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus

Person-to-person transmitted COVID-19 coronavirus. It’s a virus that is similar to the common cold and flu. To prevent it from spreading:

  • Wash your hands frequently and thoroughly with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
  • Wear a mask.
  • Don’t touch your face
  • Keep children and people with weakened immune systems away from people who are coughing or sneezing (in this case at least two meters).
  • If an outbreak occurs near you, practice social distancing (stay home instead of going to the movies, sporting events, or other activities.)
  • Get a flu shot.
