Kaito Toba takes the lead in Q1 and jumps to Q2 in Moto3 with Ogden, Bertelle and Artigas

In order to guarantee one of the four places that give direct qualification to the Q2 of Moto3, a total of 14 riders took to the asphalt of Jerez in which Kaito Toba (CIP Green Power) ended up being the best.

In a session with a total time of 15 minutes, only the final five minutes would be decisive for the development of this session. So, at about five minutes from the checkered flag, Scott Ogden was the best rider on the track with a time of 1:46.922. Behind the VisionTrack Racin Team riders were Xavier Artigas (CFMOTO Racing PruestelGP), Kaito Toba and Daniel Holgado (Red Bull KTM Ajo) who, in turn, were provisionally qualified for Q2.

When the clock indicated about two minutes to go in this session, all the young riders took to the track knowing that they could only complete one fast lap. When the circuit clock showed the 0m00s mark, not all riders were able to complete this fast lap, as was the case with Ogden and Artigas.

In this final moment, Kaito Toba was the only one to be able to present sectors marked in red and managed to maintain that rhythm until the end of the decisive lap. Then the CIP Green Power rider placed himself at the top of the timesheets with a lap of 1:46.858s. Ogden, Matteo Bertelle (QJMotor Avintia Racing Team) and Artigas rounded out the top four managing to jump into Q2.
