SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Aug. 12, 2021 (Gephardt Daily) – The Utah Department of Public Safety released several more details about a collision with a car that blocked traffic in Salt Lake City on Thursday morning.

The accident occurred around 9 a.m. on Interstate 15 heading south at about 400 South in Salt Lake City when a car lost control and spun in front of a tractor-trailer, according to the Utah DPS statement.

“The two vehicles collided and the saddle rolled on its side,” they say. “The driver of the car was uninjured, the truck driver suffered serious, but not life-threatening injuries.”

I-15 was initially closed but reopened later that day. The soldiers are investigating whether another vehicle was involved, which may have cut off the first car, the statement said.
