The 2021 Mural Fest will feature artists from Utah and beyond, adding 10 artworks to South Salt Lake buildings.

Artists from Utah and painters from Mexico, Texas and California were selected to transform buildings in South Salt Lake into canvases

What is billed as Utah’s “largest collection of street art” will be expanded to include 10 works of art in South Salt Lake in May during the fourth annual Mural Fest.

The Utah Arts Alliance has published the list of artists and the buildings they will add their painted works to from May 4th through May 14th. The finished works will be celebrated on Saturday, May 15th at 6 pm as part of a “Meet & Greet”

Artists from Utah and beyond will add murals to 10 locations, most of them in the South Salt Lake Creative Industries Zone, an area between 2100 South and 2700 South and 300 West and State Streets.

One of the highlights is the third phase of Habitat, a multi-panel mural by Salt Lake City artist Traci O’Very Covey in the Mountainland Design building at 2345 S. Main St. O’Very Covey created the first two phases in the Mural Festival 2019 and 2020.

• Hayley Barry of Provo at South Salt Lake City Hall, 170 E. Oakland Ave.

• Emily Ding of Houston, Texas at EMS Services, 2139 S. West Temple.

• HIMED & HOKZYN, two artists from Mexico, at MedVantage, 2134 S. Richards St.

• Bill Louis of Eagle Mountain at the Clever Octopus Creative Reuse Center, 2250 S. West Temple.

• Brooklyn Ottens and Matt Monsoon, two Utah artists, at Bonwood Bowl, 2500 S. Main St.

• Roots Art Kollective, an artist collaboration based in Utah, at Mr. Muffler, 105 W. 2100 South.

• Miles Toland of Nevada City, California at Tech Service Supply, 2465 S. West Temple.

• Joseph Toney of Salt Lake City in the Allergy Research Group, 2307 S. West Temple.
