Cecil Hill Obituary (1930 – 2022) – Ogden, UT

Cecil Hobert Hill, 92, passed away Tuesday morning, June 21, 2022 at The Terrace at Mt. Ogden. He was born January 6, 1930 in Bowlee, Oklahoma. He was the 3rd of 11 children born to James and Flossie Fern Burdine Hill. He married Louise Bufford, she preceded him in death in 1994, he later married Alice Lee who preceded him in death in 2014.
He was a faithful member of Embrey Chapel and Second Baptist Church.
Cecil attended Weber State taking mechanic classes. He worked for the railroad, Volvo White and then started Hill and Hill Auto Repair. Cecil enjoyed working on cars and fishing.
He is survived by his daughter Cecil Anderson of Ogden and step-son Percy Stovall of Taylorsville; his only sister, Mae Glynn; brothers, Leontra and Glenn all of Ogden, Carleice (Mary) of Wichita KS and Sherman (Lynn) of Cresent OK; 9 grandchildren Patricia (Oscar Daniels Jr.) Daniels, Teconishe Hill, Janell Hill, Jerome Hill, Adam Hill, Tina Dixon, Tony Holmes, Troy Spence, Johnnie Dixon and 8 great-grandchildren; also many nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his 2 wives; 2 sons Howard Hill and Aron Hill and stepdaughter Geneva Clark; 5 brothers: Carl, Nathaniel, Truman, Charles, and James.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at the Second Baptist Church, 227 27th St., Ogden where a viewing will be held prior from 1 to 2 pm Interment will be at the Ogden City Cemetery.
Cecil’s service will be streamed live, to watch scroll to the bottom of his obituary page on the day of his service at 2 pm It will remain on his obituary page indefinitely if unable to watch at this time.
