Deanne Larsen Woolstenhulme Obituary (1954-2021) – Ogden, UT

Deanne Larsen Woolstenhulme
March 1, 1954 ~ December 24, 2021
Deanne Larsen Woolstenhulme died peacefully with her family on Christmas Eve 2021 at 6:06 a.m. as a result of cancer.
She was born in the Ogden area and raised in Pleasant View, Utah, to Ruth Ann Rhees and Vern Larsen, and the eldest of seven children and a foster sibling. She was faithfully raised in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and chose to strengthen her relationship with Christ throughout her life.
She graduated from Weber High School Class in 1972 and began teaching at Utah State University, but left after two semesters to pursue a lifelong passion of attending beauty school. She later served on a mission to the Catania Italy Mission for her church. Her missionary work extended over her whole life in her everyday life. She has influenced so many lives even if she only met you once in a supermarket line. You were important to her! You were one of her favorites.
On a snowmobile trip after her mission, she met the love of her life Royce B Woolstenhulme. They were married forever on June 25, 1981 at Idaho Falls Temple. They moved a few times before settling at Royce’s family home in beautiful Teton Valley, Idaho, where they raised their six wonderful children.
Deanne served in many different roles within the LDS Church. She served in Relief Society, Sunday School teacher, and Primary. However, her preferred way of serving was by teaching the youth in the Young Women program.
In May 2013, she received a call to help her parents in Utah. She was a real pioneer. She left everything and everyone she loved to help them. Royce followed her eight months later. She took care of them until her mother, Ruth Ann, passed away in 2017 and Deanne began her career as a paraprofessional at Lomond View Elementary. She loved being with these kids and the friends she met there.
In October 2021, after her father’s funeral, her health began to deteriorate. She was in the hospital with various complications and was eventually diagnosed with cancer. However, that didn’t stop them from serving. She loved meeting her new nurses and making friends with them quickly.
Deanne is survived by her best friend and eternal companion, Royce Woolstenhulme; their six children, Josh (Elise) Woolstenhulme, Micah (Marilee) Woolstenhulme, Seth (Courtney) Woolstenhulme, Serenity (Matt) Stewart, Crystal (Spenser) Riches, Ethan (Amy) Woolstenhulme and 15 beautiful grandchildren. She also leaves her siblings Dale (Unhui) Larsen, Brent (Ronna) Larsen, Sandee (Dan) Mann, Sheri (Don) Petersen, Jan (Paul) Tribe, David (Becky) Larsen; her brother-in-law Kenley (Carol) Woolstenhulme; Sister-in-law, Sue Beard and many nieces and nephews.
In death she was preceded by her parents, her parents-in-law, her grandparents, her brother-in-law Leon Beard; Niece Nicole Petersen Prentice and her beautiful angelic granddaughter Adalyn Grace Woolstenhulme; and many other angels can now embrace her.
