Here are the latest purchases and sales from US retailers

New franchisees have acquired a Ford dealer in Galesburg, Illinois, northwest of Peoria.

Dan Kuna and Tony Lozich bought Yemm Ford on October 29 from owners Rick Yemm and Mark Kleine, said Hal Feder of Murphy Business and Financial Corp. in Williamsburg, Virginia. Feder represented the buyers on the deal while Don Brown of Midwest Brokerage in St. Louis acted as broker for the seller.

The dealership was renamed the Ford of Galesburg.

Yemm told Register-Mail that his partner was “heading for retirement” and that he wanted to sell the dealership to focus on his Chevrolet-Buick-GMC and Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep-Ram businesses in Galesburg.

Feder said Kuna has 20 years of automotive industry experience while Lozich owns a bricklaying business.

Kuna, Ford of Galesburg’s dealer boss, said he had held senior positions in automotive retail for the past nearly 15 years and teamed up with longtime friend Lozich to buy this dealer. He said the duo have a thing for Ford.

“It’s something we’ve been talking about for years,” Kuna told Automotive News. “COVID puts things into perspective.”
